Health Professionals In Recovery

Hosted BySean Fogler, MD, Bill Kinkle, BS, RN, EMT-P

To provide peer support, advocacy and education to healthcare professionals who struggle with substance use disorders, process addictions and mental health challenges. We connect, support and restore our colleagues — improving their health and professional careers. We deliver our mission through confidential support, educational programming, writing, speaking and our podcast.

We are healthcare professionals living in long-term recovery. Our training, lived experience and experience with professional health programs make us uniquely qualified to support and guide our colleagues who often suffer in silence. We have both struggled with substance use disorders and the mental health challenges that often co-occur, and we both have experience with trauma something frequently found at the root of addiction. The gift of recovery has transformed our lives, and now it’s our duty to share it with our colleagues, helping them find a new path forward.
